I chose Sun Moon Star Resort Koh Phangan for its great location near the beach, as I wanted to visit Mae Haad Beach. But I was pleasantly surprised by the one-way transfer service from Thong Sala pier to the hotel. It made my arrival and departure hassle-free.

We stayed close to some really nice restaurants and down to the empty beach. The room was clean and had a high standard bathroom. Service was great, and the breakfast menu had many options. We also enjoyed the sea view.

The staff was friendly and helpful during my stay. The location was perfect, being a short walk to the nearby beach. The hotel also offered great amenities like clean and spacious rooms, and tasty and affordable food.

The hotel had a system for disposing of toilet paper that led to an unpleasant smell in the room. the shallow water in low tide made it impossible to swim in the sea, with sea cucumbers and corals covering the area.

The triple room we stayed in was amazing! It had a cozy seating area where we could relax and unwind after a long day. We loved the balcony, perfect for enjoying the beautiful views. The room had everything we needed, including a flat-screen TV and free in-room WiFi to stay connected. As a guest, I truly felt at home here.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the hairdryer provided. But hey, that's just my opinion.

We stayed at this family-run resort twice and loved it! The location is great, just a 5-minute walk to Haad Yao beach and many restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean, with large beds and a nice balcony/terrace. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The restaurant serves delicious food.
